COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER/DISPATCHER

Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for an Emergency Communications Specialist (9-1-1 Dispatcher). Receive and relay calls for emergency and non-emergency public safety assistance via both radio and phone calls, dispatch public safety, law and emergency medical/fire for an emergency communications center (ECC). Maintain call logs, operate computer aided dispatch systems. Applicants must be 21 years of age with an acceptable driving record and no felony criminal history. High school degree or equivalent. Must have good hearing in both ears, be able to multi-task, accurate typing ability. Rotating work schedule. Nonexempt position with starting rate of $26.71/hour + paid holidays.
