COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER/DISPATCHER
The Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for a full-time position as a Communications Specialist. Annual salary starts at $52,419.00, plus holiday pay (apprx $2,700). Benefits include: health, dental, vision, disability insurance, retirement and paid leave time.
Communications Specialists answer emergency (9-1-1) and non-emergency calls for service, document and dispatch responders for Law Enforcement, Fire, and EMS, and perform a variety of other tasks daily. This is a fast-paced environment requiring energetic, self-motivated individuals with good computer skills, communication skills and the ability to multi-task. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age, have good hearing in both ears, possess a valid Colorado driver’s license with a good driving record, no felony convictions, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and be able to work varying shifts.
