Cottonwood Pass (Chaffee County Road 306) will be closed until further notice. The closure is just West of Rainbow Lake Resort to the top of the pass. We will advise just as soon as it is re-opened. Thank you

The missing person in Buena Vista area, has now been located.   Thank you to all that assisted with this.  The gentleman is now safe at home.

Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office is looking for David, an 84 year old white male, that has dementia. David walked away from his residence on CR 363 in Buena Vista. He is wearing a stone colored jacket, dark blue work pants and a ball cap.  If you see him please call the Sheriff’s Office at 719-539-2596

Hwy 285 – Poncha Pass is now cleaned up and re-opened. Thank you for your cooperation. Safe travels.

Hwy 285 on Poncha Pass is closed due to a semi crash, near the top.  Travelers are encouraged to find an alternate route.  Closure is expected to last approximately 2 hours.  Please check our Facebook page or cotrip.org for updates and re-opening of the road.
