The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for Chaffee County, for Monday September 30, 2019.  Due to the Red Flag, no open fires are allowed.

The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag warning for Chaffee County on Sunday September 29th, 2019 from noon until 7pm. Due to the Red Flag, no open fires will be allowed.

Chaffee County is under a Red Flag warning from noon on September 20th until 8 pm.  No open fires are allowed.  

The smoke that seen over Methodist Mountain is from a fire near the Ox Cart Ranch in the San Luis Valley. The fire has been burning now for several days. There is no danger to Chaffee County at this time. The Forest Service is on scene and working the fire.
