As most are aware the Seven Peaks Music Festival will be held at the Meadows Ranch in Buena Vista, Colorado beginning Friday, August 31 and concluding the night of Sunday, September 2nd.

The event is permitted for up to 25,000 attendees however crowd estimates remain at somewhere between 7000 and 10,000 ticket holders. Camping is allowed in the venue and patrons will be allowed to come and go as they please.

No open burning will be allowed on the Meadows property during this event.

The traffic plan for the event was approved by the Colorado Department of Transportation and provides for event traffic to be routed to the venue using routes that will have minimal impact to the residents of Buena Vista. Only residential traffic will be allowed to travel westbound on Crossman Av from Highway 24. All event traffic will enter Crossman west of the venue travelling east. Crossman WILL remain two-way traffic.

The Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office is responsible for all law enforcement matters in the venue. Both local law enforcement personnel as well as personnel from other agencies from around the state will be utilized during the event inside the venue, however all law enforcement activities will be supervised by the Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office.

The Colorado State Patrol has brought in extra resources for traffic enforcement outside the venue and DUI enforcement will be a top priority.

Verizon Wireless has installed a C.O.W., Cellular on Wheels to help alleviate any additional strain put on our local Verizon cell service in northern Chaffee County.

Please be mindful that this is a permitted event through the Chaffee County BOCC and all music level concerns will be addressed as part of next years permit process if applicable. If you have music level concerns and complaints in regards to this event please note the date and time and document this for later processes. Please refrain from calling the Chaffee County Communications Center with loud music complaints. Be mindful that not only is the music festival in progress this is also Labor Day weekend and our emergency communication resources will be very busy.

An extensive planning process involving all Chaffee County agencies involved in this event and the Live Nation Staff has progressed for the last several months to ensure that all attending the music festival have a safe experience.
